Context Getxophoto is Spain’s largest independent photography festival and competition. Each year, it explores a different theme, attracting thousands of submissions from photographers around the world. That year’s topic was Lost Childhood.
Challenge Given the sensitivity of the subject matter, we needed to find a way to balance the emotional impact of the photographs with a concept that would soften the tone without diminishing its importance. At the same time, the campaign had to spark curiosity and encourage people to attend the festival.
Role As Associate Creative Director, I was responsible for developing the campaign concept, writing and overseeing the production of the advertising campaign. I was also invited to participate in the photo selection process as a special guest curator for the festival.
Outcome The campaign successfully connected with audiences, generating strong engagement and attendance for the festival. It also gained significant recognition within the advertising industry, earning attention at several creative award shows.
